I tell, seek, and collect stories. Some of them end on computer screen or in print. I also happen to be a scientist, one that roams art galleries and knits. I like to think of myself as curious, and nothing makes me as happy as learning. And it happens that the best way to learn is to learn from other people.

I seek inspiration and I hope to inspire others. Anything could be a material to work on, if you look from the right angle.

It started a few years ago, when I was looking for means of traveling around Norway. Since then, I've surfed, hosted, went to CS meetings, and found travel buddies, friends and flatmates via CS. I can't say I'm very involved in the community, but I'm doing my best.

Interessi

Writing and languages occupy the top of the list, definitely. Art and history of art follow closely behind, accompanied by handicraft, cooking, sailing, indoor climbing and bellydance. I enjoy outdoor festivals and coffee, and RPGs and other nerdy things. And I'm always happy to expand this list.

Musica, film e libri

I'm pretty sure I left out lots of artists and titles that I like, but I tried:

As far as music goes: Bjork, VAST, Riverside, Florence + the Machine, Parov Stelar Band, 10 Years, Gogol Bordello, Bat for Lashes, Fever Ray, Serj Tankian, NIN, Opeth, UNKLE, Humanwine, Grails,The Dresden Dolls, Apocalyptica, Valravn, Dead Can Dance, Gazpacho, The Red Paintings, MS/MR. There's no particular genre I stick to - the music just has to sound right.

As for books, here are some authors I value greatly: Rabih Alameddine, Neil Gaiman, David Foster Wallace, Karen Joy Fowler, Donna Tartt, NK Jemisin, Scarlett Thomas, Jacek Dukaj, Ursula K. Le Guin, Megan Whalen Turner, Catherynne M. Valente, Scott Lynch, Tove Jansson, Dorothy L. Sayers, Anthony Marra, Hal Duncan. I read a lot and a lot of it is genre fiction.
