ABOUT ME

I don`t take myself too seriously, Id say im funny, addicted to seeing new places and learning new things.I started traveling in 2008 on a working holiday in Canada and Im hooked ever since.My plan is to see the whole world before im 33.fingers crossed!haha

I have lived many places so far and would love to settle down but haven't really found a place to do so yet and therefore Im pretty restless..
I still have a lot to learn about life but I find that after every journey you return a little wiser :) On my travels I love to "blend in" and live just like the people in the country Im in, learn a bit of their language and ways..to me thats the only real way of traveling..
Im openminded, curious and love to try new things and meet people that inspire me and have a story to tell..
love spending time in nature because I sometimes get tired easily and I feel like there is so much energy to regain when you are by yourself just connecting to mother earth

oh yea and I'm a vegetarian since I was 8 yrs old (actually had a host complaining about not telling that before?!lol) so just letting u know ;)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

so far my experiences have been very positive..CS is full of the most amazing and free spirited, generous people and I became friends and/or am still in touch with most of them till this day :)

update 2015*I have had kind of a shitty and disappointing experience in Tokyo this year and can only strongly advice females who are traveling alone to think twice about staying with male hosts in Japan. (especially the "businessmen that wear a suit by day but get drunk every night" and especially when they only host girls) I have heard from many locals now that its a pretty common way for them to meet their random hook ups and its wrong in so many ways to misuse a site that is for traveling and cultural exchange purposes only, for your own selfish needs..
I have absolutely no respect for that and find it really sad that some people destroy the CS reputation this way..
References unfortunately not always tell you much because people tend to not leave one when they have to write the first negative or are too polite which is not fair to fellow surfers.*
