About Me

I'm outgoing, curious, chipper, passionate about arts and culture, driven by people and ever so inspired by new places and unique personalities who cross my way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined CS because I'm convinced that it is an incredible network that gives a whole new dimension to travelling. I believe the best way to see the world is through the eyes of a local. The people is always what I remember best from my travels.
The connections I've made here so far have been fantastic, some of them flourished over time.
I appreciate travellers who put a thought into their words. Copied and pasted messages are replied accordingly, messages to girls bearing a different name than my own are not replied at all. :)

Interests

Really multiple. But particularly: contemporary dance, musical theatre, interior design, cinema.

Music, Movies, and Books

My taste for music is diverse and determined by my current mood. Depending on a day, I may turn to jazz, indie rock, electro pop or classical. I love good film music and good dance music. And oldies. I like to start my days off with Paolo Nutini and finish them with Elysian Fields. I would never miss a RHCP concert in town. Nor I would a "Les Misérables" production. :)

I love old-fashioned, cozy cinemas. Watching a movie in a cinema is for me the best way to enjoy it, however I will never say 'no' to a good pyjamas movie night with friends or family. I'm never ever bored of rewatching my favourite movies time and time again. I watch and prepare for the Academy Awards every year. I have always wanted to go to drive-in theatre - it's on my list. By the way, I love lists too. :P

I always have a book on me. I've studied French literature. I've been raised by Agatha Christie's lover. When I was a child, I read "The Bullerby Children" 14 times. Right now, I'm into travel and personal growth books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

being a geisha for a day and participating in oharai purification ceremony in a shinto shrine - the most wonderful cultural adventure I have ever experienced

night stargazing under a truly remarkable sky in the middle of Atacama - the most breathtaking thing I have ever seen

participating in local student life while on exchange in Belgium - the most insane thing I have ever done

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share a smile, a laugh, a dance and definitely, my sweet tooth. I can spread onto you my dynamic approach to life, my progressive love for travel and I will easily dwell on everything I am passionate about. I am a culture vulture but no history expert, though, so the travellers are often much more educated on the local history than myself.
