My name is Karolína and I am a twenty four year old student of journalism at Charles University in Prague. I was born and live in Prague, but I like to travel a lot -right now I’m in Dunedin, New Zealand to study at the University of Otago as an exchange student for one semester. My biggest passion is photography and music, I go to concerts and festivals a lot and I would love to work in either of those fields one day.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I want to meet new people and generally broaden my horizons. I belive that getting to know different cultures and personalities opens people's minds a lot.

In Prague I host for max. 2 nights as I live with my parents. If you think we would get along or you'd like to meet, don't hesitate to message me or send me a request and I'll see what I can do!

Interests

I love photography and music - these are my two biggest hobbies. Travelling is also a big passion of mine, I am happy when I can explore another place, take a lot of photos, go to local cafes, vintage or thrift shops or modern art galleries and eat good food. I always like to flip through a fashion or music magazine as I often find a lot of great photos there. I study journalism so I'm also curious about current events and politics. I'm not a big sports fan but like to do horseriding, yoga or skiing/snowboarding.

Music, Movies, and Books

"What do you listen to" is the hardest question I get because I listen to so many different bands and artists. Some of my favourites are Grimes, Perfume Genius, Super Besse, Slow Magic, Kiasmos, Underworld, Kraftwerk, Das Ding, Young Fathers, Albert Hammond Jr, Beach House, The 1975, Current Joys, TR/ST and many, many more. I would be more than happy to find people with similar music taste! I also like techno parties and Prague is an amazing city for that at the moment.

Films: Trainspotting, Sedmikrásky, Submarine, Call Me By Your Name, Spotlight... I'll be happy if you share some film and book tips with me.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can show you some not-so-touristy places in Prague, cool architecture, recommend where to eat and if you're interested, we can hang out in some nice cafes, meet some of my friends and go to a pub or to a concert/art gallery.
