About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Since I remember my biggest dream was to travel the whole world. I'm gonna make it happen :)

ABOUT ME

I'm an open-minded, easygoing and cheerful person. A bottomless barrel always wanting more... travel experiences and new people around.

I've dreamed about traveling almost my whole life, believe me or not. When I was 4 I went on my first trip and moved to The Netherlands for two years. I used to live in a small city surrounded by the sea, meadows and a forest. It was such a wonderful time in my little life.

As I grew older, I started to read adventure books and then dream about the travels troughout the world, boat cruises, plane flights. Not to mention, I could sit all day long and watch adventure TV series like 'Relic Hunter' and try to get a phone number to Indiana Jones aka Harrison Ford and beg him to take me away :)

My first computer game was... yes, indeed! Tomb Raider! I fell in love with Lara Croft when I was 8 years old and wanted to become one bold and proud archeologist. As soon as I realized the job is not that funny and adventurous in the real life, I just stuck with playing the game ;) It's not a surprise I still love the character and whole TR series. Though she's not real, inspires me a lot!

After high school I moved to the capital of Poland (Warsaw) and started doing a degree in Journalism. I worked a year and a half in NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC and TRAVELER magazines. Since then I've been working in public relations. What more can I say? I love my job because it allows me to give the best of me and push myself forward.

To sum up, I never gave up on trying to make my dreams come true. I feel that now is the right place and the right time to start living the life I always wanted to. The perfect time to explore, dream and discover.

I visited several countries in Europe and one african country on my own but the adventure has just started for me... I'm going to travel around Europe and - in the meantime - save money for bigger trips like The United States, Peru, Mexico, Colombia, China, India and... oh well :)

PHILOSOPHY

I just love the classic one by Mark Twain.

'Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.'

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The best is yet to come! :)

I'm new in here but please don't judge a person only by its CS experience. I have many wonderful friends all over the world but never had a chance to experience CS. I just wasn't sure I can handle it but since I've heard positive information about the project, then why not? I'd love to meet CouchSurfers and become one myself.

It's really hard to get references when nobody gives you a chance to become your first host. Please think about this and if you're not sure, feel free to ask whatever you want to know :)

Interests

Traveling, running, listening to music, reading books, learning Spanish (I really like learning languages, in general), playing games, meeting new people and eating everything I have never tried and seen before. I love mexican and indian cuisine tho.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies - I like almost all types of movies but my favourites are movies directed by Woody Allen, Tim Burton, Pedro Almodovar... I also love Pixar and Disney animations. You're never too old for Disney, right?

Music - I listen to a whole bunch of artists but Shakira is my music queen since I was 8 years old. I even had a chance to get her personal autograph and make friends with her band members.

Books - I read a lot, that's for sure. It's always hard for me to pick just a few names. Anyway, I'd say my favourites are novels written by Carlos Ruiz Zafon, Haruki Murakami, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Astrid Lindgren, Franz Kafka, George Orwell and well, much more!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the best experiences so far was doing my parachute jump on my 18th birthday. But I strongly believe that the best is still ahead of me, waiting patiently!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share my enthusiasm, energy and positive outlook on life. Plus, we can run together! ;)

Countries I’ve Visited
