About Me

I am twenty years old and grew up in Germany, did voluntary social work in the US for a year and now live near Hamburg to go to uni. I loved travelling and working abroad, it was an amazing opportunity! Now I am doing a degree in environmental sciences and love learning more about our ecosystems, human influence on nature and how we can do something to live our lives sustainably.

I love meeting people and trying new stuff so I am pretty open-minded and interested whenever I get to know someone. I am always glad to be inspired by people and their lives. I usually get along with everyone I meet and would consider myself friendly and easy to be around :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

After I finished school I moved to the Unites States, St. Louis, MO to volunteer and do social work! I really enjoyed the people around me getting to know other people who live around St. Louis.
I also enjoyed travelling around the US during my days off! We saw New York City, San Fransisco, Chicago and some of the National Parks and some of Florida. I met a lot of great and really helpful people along the way on here :)
Now I live in Lüneburg, which is the cutest city of all towns in northern Germany. It has many beautiful old buildings, a lot of places to eat and drink and is also really close to Hamburg. If you want to hang out and get to know new people feel free to message me!

Interests

I loveeee to try new things but I'm really into...

-languages (speaking/learning/reading/writing)
-music: I can play the flute and I love to sing, I really enjoy going to concerts or festivals
-acting/theater/drama/musicals: I love being on stage or watching from the front row
-hiking, walking or riding my bike (especially when there's beautiful nature around you)
-animals (I have a dog and an awesome cat at home in Germany, I also enjoy horseback riding a lot)
-going out (w/ friends)
-cooking and baking (and eating, I am a huge fan of ethnic food)
-soccer (or preferably football) although I am better at watching than acutally playing
-design (and fashion)
-chocolate and everything chocolate related, coffee and tea

Music, Movies, and Books

my music taste is kind of random, I listen to a lot of different stuff (and I love to sing along)
I also really like reading; it's usually mostly German literature but I enjoy also some international authors like Irving and others. I also passionatly read all of the Harry Potter Books (and watched the movies)
I love good movies that carry a strong message but I can get lost on Netflix just as well when I'm feeling lazy

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I feel like the coolest things are some of the vacations I went on:
I traveled through Ireland on a house boat, went hiking for a week with a donkey that carried all of my stuff, saw the pride parade and the celebration of lights in Vancouver, ate my way through almost all of Italy and very recently moved to the USA to do a volunteer service for a year

Teach, Learn, Share

I am always up to teach you a little German or share favorite recipes.
I hope to learn about the people and things around me and I would love to endlessly discuss various topics from politics and how to change the world for the better to the perfect way to make scrambled eggs.
I also have a habit of learning the lyrics to various songs (I often get teased by friends about it), knowledge that I would gladly pass on, so feel free to sing along with me
Also since I've lived here now for a little while I'm confindent I could show you around or give some helpful advice in case you have any questions!

What I Can Share with Hosts

My interest, my ideas, my opinions and a lot of random facts and knowledge... I'd love to share stories and pictures if people are interested!
