About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Enjoy living in San Francisco and travel when I can. After 6 month adventure in South America (from Colombia to Patagonia) I am interested in hosting people who speak spanish.

ABOUT ME

I enjoy traveling and meeting new people. I am into a bunch of sports - cycling, kiteboarding, basketball, running, diving, hiking. I am a graduate of NOLS - 2007 SE Alaska sea-kayaking. I love nature and spending time in the wild.

I already host friends of friends at our apartment so I would enjoy meeting some other people from around the world who are open-minded, friendly, respectful and down to earth.

PHILOSOPHY

Be in the moment and live simply.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can host when I am not traveling.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't couchsurfed with strangers, but have stayed with friends of friends. I am pretty new to this but am excited to meet new people who enjoy traveling and come from interesting, diverse backgrounds.

Interests

Trips like this http://goo.gl/w18Bb to Mt. Shasta or this hiking trip to Big Sur http://goo.gl/AEZdQ. Or cycling from SF to work (Mountain View), etc. Basically anything that is fun, entertaining and adventurous.

Music, Movies, and Books

180 Degrees South - awesome documentary. Motorcycle Diaries, City of God, Pulp Fiction and Waking Life are just a few of my favorites.

I don't read much fiction, as mainly I like business books and auto/biographies, but recently I started dabbling with fiction a little.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1. Greeting the day on the top of Mt. Kinabalu in Borneo, Malaysia in 2008
2. Seeing Aurora Borealis in Alaska in 2007

Teach, Learn, Share

I can take you around the Bay Area on a bicycle. I really enjoy riding my road bike. There are tons of great hikes in the peninsula - I will be happy to give you good recommendations.

I am passionate about technology so if you're at all interested in startups we'll have plenty to talk about.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belize, Brazil, Guatemala, Indonesia, Jamaica, Malaysia, Mexico, Philippines, Spain, Thailand

Countries I’ve Lived In

Colombia, Lithuania, Singapore, United States
