My name is Karrar, and I live in Nasiriyah in southern Iraq, close to the ancient Ziggurat of Ur and the beautiful Mesopotamian Marshes.
I am a sociable, adventurous, and fun person who enjoys meeting people from different cultures. I believe Couchsurfing is not just about offering a place to stay, but about sharing experiences, stories, and perspectives.
I live with my wife, my mother, and my two children. Family is very important to me, and guests who stay with us will experience real Iraqi hospitality and daily life.

I started hosting people even before I officially joined Couchsurfing. Hospitality is something I learned from my parents and grandparents. In Iraq, welcoming guests is not just a tradition — it is part of who we are.
I believe generosity and kindness are very important values. Opening my home to travelers feels natural to me because this is how I was raised.
I have not had many opportunities to travel outside Iraq, and I have not seen many places even inside my own country. Through hosting travelers, I feel like I can see the world through their stories, experiences, and cultures.
For me, Couchsurfing is a way to connect with the world without leaving my home.
