ABOUT ME

We are a couple, artists/artisans in our thirties. Both of us pursued an art education, and might consider ourselves "recovering artists". Ellen in a wicked metal-worker/founder and welder. Karsten is hella into woodworking, cabinetmaking, and carpentry. Trying to find the balance between being practical and dreaming.

PHILOSOPHY

we try to take things as they come, remain calm in times of chaos, and plan ahead when possible. it doesn't always work as well as it's spoken, but we try not to be too hard on ourselves either.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We've done a bit of surfing a number of years ago. Now we're planning a month long trip through Europe, excited to meet locals and have an experience that is somewhat off the beaten path.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Still sort of new to the whole thing. Had great experience staying with two hosts on a cross country trek a couple years ago. Now looking to get back at the couchsurfing experience/community.

ellen never fought with her siblings as children, not even a yellin match.karsten built a house in central Nevada almost entirely by himself for nearly two years.
