About Me

curious,
experimental,
a bit disoriented,
thinker,
traveler,
pause, sounds little bit pretentious!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When i get out for my share of travelling around, the landmarks are not the primary thing that capture my imagination, instead it's the people. Because, from the way i make sense of the world, it's the people, who operate as the source of the distinct flavour one feels in a place. For me, CS is a one-shot remedy for the twin problems of facing insulation from the real locals of the region and isolation which comes from the hotels. I feel like buying isolation if i get into a hotel. When i set out to travel, the least thing i expect is my comfort, or to a liberal extent, my privacy. When i'm travelling, i will trade my comfort and privacy for experience and interactions any day. After all, it's all about the experience, not anything more or less. CS is a novel experiment, premised on the inherent good will of people around the world. Seeing a venture take off which is boosted primarily by experimental passions, i also want to get a taste of it...

Interests

Philoshophy: i'm quite interested in how i perceive the world around me? And why in a particular way and why not the other way around? the questions of morality?
Travelling, in a sense helps me to weed out the superficiality and locate the essence of the human psyche.

Pedagogy: As a child, i don't liked the way how i was taught. Then i thought it' only about me being a lazy kid. but in hindsight, i focus on how children should be taught and on the methods and approaches that are effective in structuring a child centric education.

Teaching: I volunteer for Unnoticed, a NGO which operates for teaching the kids of construction workers and the kids from the slums around. Teaching kids was always rejuvenating for the mind for me...

Travel: obviously

Misc: Cycling, Chess, Linux OS.
