ABOUT ME

Born and bought up in this beautiful country (which is full of dichotomies :o)) The defense background meant that the family shifted base every two years. Guess thats were the seeds of a traveller were sown!
So much so that the profession that I chose takes me travelling across the length and breadth of the country - from serene villages to the modern emerging Indian landscape. Recently its also taking me travelling across the world and that is absolutely wonderful!

Reading, music and movies are second nature. Walking, long drives, train journeys are "lets do it" type.
Love pphotography - though know nothing of it apart from some basic adjustments on the camera and clicking on the button

Have adorable parents who are now enjoying post retirement joys in my hometown up north in India. Bieng the only son meant that there was some pampering - but then we could all do with some of that!!!

Love all kinds of food. Sample as much new food as I can - bowels permitting.

Starts with travelling to the extent that even the profession I chose gets me to travel quite a bit - from the villages of my country to shores aborad. Other interests range from reading quite a bit to being a fanatic about movies

Have grown up with the hundereds of varieties of Indian music. Can listen to all the stuff - from classical to pop and from film songs to instrumental. However, the favourite genre is Ghazals (a poetic rendition of Indian music). Jagjit Singh is the world famous singer of the same and I am a huge fan of his (WHAT IS MOST AMAZING IS THAT I LIVE IN THE SAME BUILDING AS HE IN MUMBAI !!!)
Books are second nature and hence I read them as often as I breathe. Anything in hand would do. From thrillers (al mclean etc.) to downright fictions (sheldon, follett, amitav ghosh, jhumpa lehari etc.) from journals to management - the list goes on and on....
Dial M for Movie Mania.....the insanity ranges from wathcing full versions (many times!) to watching a movie from anywhere to anywhere on the idiot box. Bollywood and Hollywood are both favourites (haven't seen much of the great stuff from european and asian countries)
