Overview
About Me
Hello everybody! My name is Yurii. If this name is not known to you, then in English it sounds like George.
By specialty I am a philosopher and theologian. I work as a teacher in one of the schools in the city of Lviv and I am a priest of the Ukrainian Greek-Catholic Church.
In addition to my primary duties, I have a lot of hobbies and interests. I am interested in social entrepreneurship, my goal is to expand certain ideas which are in my head regarding social entrepreneurship and society as a whole.
I love the principle of "win-win" which I base my life on.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I didn't use to travel much as a child.
When I first traveled to France in 2012, I realized that there is the world which is different from the one I lived in. I saw that there are different people, different cultures, and I began to treat life differently.
Couchsurfing is a place where you can see the real side of the country and the city you are traveling to.
People here are real, not the ones who get money for their kindness and smiles.
What I appreciate in Couchsurfing most is the sincerity that I can find here.
Interests
I appreciate everything that is cultural. Oh, no, sorry, Cultural (emphasis on a capital letter).
Books often serve as a temporary source from which we can draw our spirits, emotions and so on.
I love capturing moments on photos and videos.
Traveling is one's personal development. You go beyond yourself, out of your comfort zone.
Keen on riding bicycles, but I do not like the moment of recovery, but this is life, isn't it?
In the mountains, I feel tiny and insignificant, but this feeling inspires me.
Old cities have a particular aura. But I do not really like commercial old towns. I love stamina and authenticity.
Board games are one the coolest activities in the parties. They are real emotions, not virtual ones.
