About Me

IMPORTANT NOTE: I LIVE OUTSIDE OF AMSTERDAM IN A CITY CALLED ALMERE. ITS 30 MINUTES TRAVEL INTO AMSTERDAM.

"Gee, Brain, what do you want to do tonight?" "The same thing we do every night, Pinky, try to take over the world!"

Now, about me: I'm a very honest person. I'm so honest I can't even pull practical jokes on my friends. I believe in being honest and I believe in justice.

I am a creative thinker, love thinking outside of the box and even more outside of the outside of the box. I love meeting people that have different views on life. People that surprise me with their thoughts.

Travelling for me is learning to appreciate what you have and expanding your world with new thoughts and believes.

PHILOSOPHY

I like translating Dutch sayings into English. They really don't make any sense most of the times.

"A scared cat makes weird jumps."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is a way of living. At the moment I'm trying to build up a bigger CS Community in Almere. I'm also working on making a list of things to do for Couchsurfers in Almere. Check it out here: www.couchsurfing.org/almere.cszone/

In Australia I met a wonderful lady named Sally Gazzard and we will be friends forever. She once wrote to me: "Couchsurfing is the only way to travel, I am so convinced." She's a great friend and woman I look up to.

Interests

I have a passion for old things. Old costumes, old paintings, old tea cups. I love baking cupcakes. I love chocolate. And red wine. Chocolate and red wine together. According to Craig I'm a natural mechanic.

Any Couchsurfing experience should involve food or cooking. I can cook, you can cook, we can cook together, go out for dinner, I don't care, as long as we eat. :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Having a BBQ and drinking red wine with Lucy at Swan River in Perth, while watching "My Neighbor Totoro" on a floating screen.

Also the picnic at Mount Dandenong on a rainy winter day will stay in my memory forever.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a lot about theatre. I've been working as a costume designer/costume assistent for four years. I've also been involved with a small theatre group in Breda. We made an awesome play called "Short Message Service". If anyone would like to know more about theatre, meet me for a coffee!
