About Me

I'm a fun and easy-to-get-along-with person. Traveling for me is something that helps me discover myself. I don't enjoy sightseeing and visiting as many places as possible that much. For me it's much more exciting to try to stay in a place for a longer time, to experience the life over there.

As for my occupation in life I'm a translator now for a big mobile game development company. Before that I was a freelancer for years (project-management, PR, translation, copywriting) and involved in a number of voluntary projects and youth activities, including organizing international workcamps (Service Civil International program). I'm also quite a fan of social media and have a blog on Instagram — kaseniya.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Though I don't use CS much for myself (somehow life turned out this way), I just think it's a great community of open-minded people, who appreciate life and are eager to share and give. I do have a lot of friends from CS.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like when books or movies make an influence on me, when they make me think and discover new ideas. I don't read or watch much, because I don't really like to do it just for the sake to spare time. Movies and books have "to come and find" me. Other than that real life and real people's stories are like movies and books to me. Anyways one of the latest books that influenced me much was "Atlas Shrugged". I know it's quite controversial and a lot of people disapprove of it, but I found it truly inspiring.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did paragliding in the Himalayas being freakingly afraid of heights and flying.
