About Me

I am a traveler from Tokyo, Japan and I`m currently on a world journey from Asia to South America. Naturally I am a very shy person, and it takes me time to warm up and speak to new faces (the characteristics of a typical Japanese citizen) But because of these reasons i have started my Couch Surfing experience, as well as wanting to better my English Speaking Skills, and my knowledge of the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have begun my Couch surfing experience to delve into the local life of the various countries I am travelling to on my world journey. I want to learn from the local traditions, cultures and listen to tales from my hosts that i will meet along my journey, more importantly, I have joined this community to expand my knowledge of the world and what it has to offer.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a real love for Film, Benjamin Button would be my favorite. I am also a big fan of American Literature, The Long Goodbye is a personal favorite of mine. In regards to Japanese authors, Haruki Murakami has been a real treasure in my life since i picked up his books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I attempted and made a successful summit of a mountain, on the Annapurna circuit, alone. The mountain was over 5400m high, nearing the Throngla Pass, it was a wild experience that i will treasure until my last days on this beautiful Earth.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have worked as a Japanese Chef for a number of years, so i can offer my hosts some Japanese cooking lessons if they wish, and if their country can offer the correct ingredients. It often proves difficult for me to find the right ingredients in the corners of the globe i travel too! As well as my Japanese cooking skills, i can also offer my hosts Japanese language practice, as i am a native speaker, but beware there are 50 letters within my alphabet!

What I Can Share with Hosts

An open mind, with a kind and respectful personality.
