ABOUT ME

I like to think I'm a pretty fun laid back person. I love to explore new places and meet new people. I'm always up for an adventure! At the moment I have an urge to see the world, and I am hoping to make that happen with the help of this site!

PHILOSOPHY

We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? Your playing small does not serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we're liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment I am just hoping to surf. Hopefully in a year or so when I have my own place I will be able to host travelers like myself. I am very available to show people around Phoenix, AZ. I recently moved back and would love to show anyone around who visits.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My boyfriend and I were able to couchsurf in Iceland in January 2013. It was great to see the country from a native perspective. I think couchsurfing is the best form of travel for people who really want to get immersed in the culture of countries they visit.

Interests

I really enjoy anything that allows me to be immersed nature. I love to travel, and would like to continue traveling as much as I can. I also enjoy music( from Classical to Rock n Roll), fashion, architecture, art, dance, learning, reading, film, kayaking, hiking, exploring. I really just want to experience everything the world has to offer.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have recently fallen in love with instrumental renditions of modern songs by groups like 2cellos or Lindsey Sterling. I really just love anything I can dance to.

My favorite book is The World According to Garp. I don't know why, but it changed the way I think about things. I also have a soft spot for the Harry Potter series.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The Grand Palace in Thailand is absolutely breathtaking. Some of the temples have extremely detailed murals on their walls which were so beautiful. It amazed me to see how much effort it took to create those works of art, and to learn about all the history behind them. The Blue Lagoon in Iceland was also a fun experience. Flying over Mt. Mckinley in Alaska was very exciting! One of my favorite experiences was driving from Denali, Alaska to Portland Oregon. Driving through British Columbia and the Yukon is amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I very much enjoy learning from people through their experience. I love meeting people who have a totally different life and background than my own. It makes for a better learning experience for the both of us. We all lead different lives and see different things, so I love to hear about the life of another person. Different stories can really act as inspiration for the lives we choose to lead.
