ABOUT ME

I have lived in a lot of places across the US, France, and the Gulf Coast of Mexico, and still feel like I haven't seen enough of the world to understand it. I like hiking, sewing, making art, hooping, dancing, DIY, and being part of and building community. I have a BFA in Illustration and have studied botany and herbalism both in school and outside of it. I am currently taking med school prerequisites so I can go to ND school.

PHILOSOPHY

I don't know if I have a philosophy exactly (summing up everything I believe in one go seems really daunting) but I like living honestly and simply.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have lived in several houses that have hosted surfers and it's been a really positive experience. Most of my traveling involves a tent instead of a couch, but every host I've had has been amazing.

Music, Movies, and Books

Right now I'm reading a lot of Biology text books and plant field guides, but I really like stories about children overcoming hardships. My movie tastes are pretty similar. I watch documentaries when I'm drawing and painting. Wild China is really great. I know Cosmos is a series, but I like watching/listening to that one as well. My music is all over the place. It varies from Bill Callahan and Alela Diane to Animal Collective to Fever Ray to random trip-hop and chillwave.
