I think it's a great opportunity to meet new people with similar mindset as yours. It's wrong that we think we're lonely, or nobody understands us. When in reality even if on the first sight we're all different, really we're all the same. That's why I love the quote "I have friends in ...insertnameofaplace..., I just haven't met them"
