About Me

ABOUT ME

Hi :) I'm not the one of those people who like to talk about themselves but at least I will try :) There's nothing special which could distinguish me from the others, I'm an optimistic, bubbly person who always tries to keep the smile on her face. I'm spontaneous and open-minded, tolerant and easy going. I like to talk a lot, laugh a lot, spend time in a good company. There's so many things I would like to do with my life, one of these things is of course discovering new things, like couchsurfing :) I don't really like going out to clubs, which are loud, busy and (to be honest) my dance abilities are really really poor :D So on Friday evening I prefer to choose a nice pub perhaps with some live music to chill out and talk in peace with friends or a good gig to jump around which does not require any fancy dancing! :)
I'm a big fan of outdoors and walking in the countryside. In spare time I love cooking some good, colorful vegan food and drawing / painting.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'd love to meet some easy going, friendly people who can share their love for travelling with me. I've been having those dreams about long-time travelling for some time and in my opinion the most inspiration you can get is from other people's stories and experiences. It shows you how easy it can be to actually take a step forward and experience something new. I think nowadays people are really scared of getting outside of their comfort zone but once they do, especially when it comes to travelling, they never regret their decisions!

Music, Movies, and Books

My love for good, rock music had been born maaany years ago when my dad was obsessed in listening to Dire Straits and Queen. Queen is definitely on top of my list, both with their song 'Innuendo' which reminds me a lot of my childhood.
Other bands I really like are: Pink Floyd, Pearl Jam, Alt-J, Coldplay, Ben Howard, The Beatles, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Led Zeppelin, Jefferson Airplane and maaaany more, especially rock music from the 70's.

I won't be naming any kind of 'obvious' movies in here, which are amazing, though the movie which some time ago got stuck in my mind is 'Victoria' - German, independent movie which has been shot in a single take! Recommend this to anyone, as I remember my experience in the cinema and emotions gathering with every single minute were absolutely amazing, especially that everything happens in 'live' time.

Since I've started running some time ago one of my favourite and the most inspirational book became 'Born to run' by Christopher McDougall. Let's say at that moment it's been the most enjoyable book I've read. Apart from this I cried like a baby whilst reading 'The book thief' and 'The orange girl'. These 3 so far stayed the most in my mind!

I am very fond of David Attenborough's documentaries, especially 'The Blue Planet II'.

Recently I have been following Bruce Parry and several of his documentaries : Tribe, Arctic, Amazon. The first time I've hear about this chap was when I recently went to the cinema to watch the documentary called 'Tawai - the voice from the forest' and I was completely stunned by the unbelievable bond between the indigenous people and nature, and frustrated about modern civilizations' impact on their homeland.
