About Me

Scroll down for some advices and information about Wroclaw and Poland.

I don’t like spending time on my phone, and I don’t like it when others find their phones more interesting/important than a person sitting in front of them. It's kinda disrespectful, don't you think? I’m the worst at texting, so give me 5-7 business days to respond to your messages.

I’m an extrovert who loves solitude 🤷🏽‍♀️ I’m easy going and friendly and talkative, but on the other hand I’m never bored when alone. Sometimes I really need to be by myself and so - although that I can spend plenty of time with others - I really appreciate when people let me be alone from time to time ☺️

I write almost every day, I read tons of books and I watch plenty of movies. I like to have random chats about weird things and long conversations about meaning of life. I also quite enjoy debating on controversial issues.

I appreciate straightforwardness and honesty - it makes everything much easier, without playing any games etc. So, if you want that last slice of pizza, just say it.

I collect bookmarks from all around the world! Every bookmark has a special place in my heart and I’ll probably be grateful forever if you give me one! It can be hand-made.

Last but not least, I do not treat Couchsurfing as a dating app. I usually report people who are here only for a hook up.

About Wroclaw / Poland:

1. You can pay with card almost everywhere, and if you need a small amount of cash, you can withdraw specific amount in shop chain called “Zabka”. There are thousands of these shops all over the country, the shops are green with frog in the logo.

2. In Wroclaw, you can buy a ticket for city transit inside the bus/tram. You can only pay for the ticket with card. The ticket is in your transaction history, therefore nothing will be printed, so don’t wait for the paper. The system works great, it’s more ecological this way, plus the controllers are absolutely nice and understanding, so no worries, you really don’t need paper ticket.

3. For city transit use website/app called jakdojade.pl (the website and app are also available in English). This app shows you the route, timings, best connections etc in every bigger city in Poland. In some cities you can also purchase transit ticket via this app.

4. Please, tip your waiters! 10% is okay, 15% if you want your waiter to think about you fondly ;) If you’re paying for the bill with card, before the transaction inform your waiter that you’d also want to leave the tip cashless.

5. Poland is absolutely amazing and beautiful, with plenty of great cities, historical sights and natural wonders. You can safely explore all the places with train and bus systems. Transportation in Poland is comparatively cheap (especially trains) and easy to navigate. If you need more information, let me know!

6. For the best and cheapest Polish food, look for places called “Bar Mleczny” - it’s the Polish equivalent of family restaurant. Be aware that typical dinner in Poland takes place between 2pm and 6 pm, and Bar Mleczny closes around 7pm.

What to do in Wroclaw:

1. Best museums to visit: Centrum Historii Zajezdnia (post-war history of Wroclaw and the region), Panorama of the Battle of Raclawice (360 degree painting), City Museum of Wroclaw, Museum of Contemporary Art, Ethnographic Museum.

2. Have a nice view of the city for free: go to Renoma (it's a shopping mall) and go to the last floor. There's also cool bar up there open during spring and summer months.

3. Must-see: the Centennial Hall with the park surrounding the hall. Wroclaw Market Hall, Ostrów Tumski with the cathedral, Market Square with the town hall, Neonside, Colorful courtyards in Nadodrze.

4. Best places to chill with a coffee or beer: rooftop of Museum of Contemporary Art, Słodowa Island, Wrocław Boulevard, Xawery Dunikowski Boulevard, Forma Płynna, ZaZoo Beach Bar, Odra-Pany, Wrocław Multimedia Fountain, Max Berg Kiosk.

5. Best pubs and bars (in my opinion of course): Graciarnia Pizza & Crafts, Literatka, Czeski Film, XIII Igieł, Mleczarnia, Student Pub Snatch (Przekręt), all the bars on Bogusławskiego Street. Clubs: the most popular are on Pasaż Niepolda.

Teach - Polish language, history and politics (in general, if you are not up to date with what's happening in the world), I can show you around the city and give you some tips and recommendations about the city. Also, bars and pubs - I know them all (I’m not alcoholic though)

Learn - any skill would do! What's unique about you?

Share - stories, opinions, food and drinks. Open to your ideas!
