Music, Movies, and Books
Music-wise, I'm genre-less. Have at it. Though it should be noted I have a soft spot for depressing Russian Bard.
Movies that intrigue me, inspiring late-night Google research, and movies that make me laugh or cry are normally excellent movies. Also anything clever. (The Usual Suspects, Jiro Dreams of Sushi, Singing in the Rain, Jeux d'enfants)
Books: In general I like things that slap you in the face with their subtlety, and put into words small truths that are so impalpable that you never even knew you knew them. (Unbearable Lightness of Being, Immortality, Beyond Culture, Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas, Short History of Nearly Everything, Slouching Towards Bethlehem, The Empathy Exams, Let the Great World Spin, & all of Chekhov's and Flannery O'Connor's short stories.)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Moved to Vietnam by myself and on a whim. Now if someone asks, "Where's home?" Hanoi immediately comes to mind.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm as curious as they come, so every random morsel of knowledge you have will be useful to me.
In terms of teaching, I'm good with languages; I know more about American politics than is healthy, I can cook a mean shakshuka, and I can offer fun stories and advices re: surviving in the wilderness :)
Countries I’ve Lived In
Poland, Russian Federation, United States, Viet Nam
