About Me

CURRENT MISSION

After being a nomad for a while - finally finding an apt in vienna...

ABOUT ME

sun, nature, optimist, yoga, dance, art, positive view, ginger bread, cinnamon. things that make my heart smile.

i believe that things happen for a reason. which doesnt mean you should stop working towards goals and make the "energy out there" responsible for whatever happens in your life. on the contrary, i'm convinced that your own satisfaction and happiness depend to a great extent on yourself. but this little sentence helps me to survive, helps me when i dont understand or dont want to accept why bad things had/have to happen. cause when you allow yourself to look closer, you will see, at least for all my experiences it was true, that almost every bad situation/thing that happened, also had a positive side and reverse. this little sentence helps me in times when i don't feel well to make me feel better, see a light at the end, but also warns me in times when i feel great and everything seems perfect. helps me to be aware of how different a situation could also be and makes me appreciate a good situation more.

in a nutshell, i guess, i just always try to make the best out of a situation and learn from it.

PHILOSOPHY

there is no black or white. only shades of grey.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

so far i "just" surfed, but as soon as i have an apt in vienna, i will be more than happy to offer my couch! (i hope i have a couch :) oh well, if not, we'll find a blow up mattress or so.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

i did it the very first time this summer and absolutely fell in love with this way of travelling. it still amazes me how fast you can get a feeling for a country, city, region by travelling like that. you come into a city you have never been before and you get taken to a dinner, party, get shown the hidden spots that you normally would never find, meet the most amazing people...

Interests

i love to be connected with my body. but not just my body - also my mind and soul. i was in a ballett room for the very first time when i was 2 weeks old :) but ever since i hurt my back two years ago, i have to be more careful when i dance and discovered yoga for myself. a passion that will stay with me for the rest of my life. just a feeling.

art is another thing that fascinates me. that's also the reason why i am renovating an old steel factory with friends right now. we want to transform this factory in some kind of creative-offspace-artspace where everyone is welcome!

i like to be active in general and to be in nature, i enjoy talking walks, roller skating (even in the city, which is sometimes quite dangerous, but who cares...) and bicycling. when i am back home and not in vienna, i love to play piano and be on the back of a horse...

i guess i don't need to mention that i absolutely love travelling, right? :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

wow, there are a couple. but one that popped immediately into my head was driving up north of san francisco on highway one, getting off the car and standing at the very edge of a cliff, looking out onto the rough sea, feeling the wind blow through my hair, feeling so free and open to everything that life will offer me...
