About Me

After high school I went to New Zealand and ever since I'm hooked on traveling and meeting new cultures and countries so it took me three years before I started studying so I'm currently studying biology(B.Sc.),specializing in nature conservation, in my sixth semester living in Marburg. I like to spend time outside with friends, chilling, doing sports, dancing. I love nature and animals. I'm a really chilled and kind person who loves to explore new things and go on all kind of adventures. Anyways if you want to know more meet me in person.

Life is there to be experienced and enjoyed !

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to meet new people and to travel, well and Couchsurfing combines both! Also I'm convinced that it's way better to experience foreign places with locals to really get to know the city/country.
Sadly I can´t host people in the moment bcos my roomies aren't as keen as me having unfamiliar ppl staying at our home but I really want to in the future.

Interests

I really enjoy cooking and experimenting with different foods. At the moment I'm on a vegan diet but while travelling I'm open to try anything.
Recently I started learning more about meditation and buddhism and I really enjoy practicing.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite book might be a childs book which isn't really a childs book: "Der Bär, der ein Bär bleiben wollte" (The bear who wanted to keep being a bear). It's quite critical towards society and a lovely read.
Currently I am reading many books about a range of topics like buddhism, changing the way you think, history & philosophy related and my favorit writer right now are Hermann Hesse & Johann Hari.
I like watching documentaries about science and nature and well made movies. Not too much into typical Hollywood movies.
I listen to a great variety of music, from rap and hip hop over indie & rock to all kinds of techno(preferably deep, melodic and drum'n'bass). The last being my favorite music for clubs and partying. My favorite artist is Kid Cudi.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Found this post on my fb wall from the beginning of 2017 in Marocco and I'm too lazy to write anything right now.
"This was the most dangerous thing I've ever done and I'm not gonna do it again...well maybe just once again." Saying this out loud my brother made me chuckle afte we've just climbed a cliff sideways for a bit. After I dropped him off safely on the ground tho, the adventurer in me got going and while starting to climb further and higher the adrenalin got mixed in aswell while climbing through Paradise Valley. Calls from my family from the otherside of the river, telling me I should climb down just got ignored profoundly by me. After some time I realized that we wanted to go on so I had to climb down anyways. Instead of going back the way I came, I decided to go for a more direct way. Anyone who has ever climbed sth. Knows that the way up is easier than the way down. In the beginning it wasn't too hard since it wasn't really steep but with time it got steeper and safe rocks to hold on to got fewer and fewer. 5 meters before having solid ground under my feet it happened: A stone under my foot got loose and therefore the stone I was holding onto with my hand had to hold more weight which he apperently couldn't do either and before I realized what was happening I was falling and trembeling down the cliff. With bleeding arms and a damaged ego I was on my way crossing the river to get back to my familly. "No this couldn't be.." I thought in the moment when my scratched hand which was reaching for my phone just felt some small stones in my pocket. Apperently my phone liked it that much in Paradise Valley that it decided that it wanted to stay there. " It must have fallen out when I fell down the cliff" it suddenly struck me. But I couldn't find it anywhere around. I just couldn't have lost my phone again! So my stubbornness and the adrenalin pushed me to go up the cliff which I just fell off of minutes ealier. I didn't feel my bleeding arm and rushed up again without really knowing where I came from. So I realized that it didn't make sense. By then it was too late already. This time I really overestimated myself. I realized that I climbed a very steep way up with only a few rocks to hold on to and found myself where I couldn't go up or down. My legs started to shiver. With the helping calls of my family I slowly started to climb down again. Often I got into the situation where it seemed like there was no rock to hold on to. With a bit of luck, using ever single muscle and for the last part the help of a friendly marrocoan orangejuice store owner I made it eventually to safe ground. Back on solid ground I found myself having only one thought:"This was the most dangerous thing I've ever done and I'm not gonna do it again...well maybe just once again."
TL;DR Lost my phone again - contact me over fb.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd like to learn something about you an your country. Especially the city you live in. We can go out and have fun. We can cook together and tell each other some amazing stories. Let's make the world a better place by embracing intercultural exchange and learn from each other ! I enjoy talking about what moves people and how they "tick". Also I'm interested in science and nature topics. Basically anything that's not small talk or generic topics.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I could teach you some funny things in german.
Share my travel stories, share the things I learn every day.
Share my good spirit and have a fun time.
Get you out of your everday life routines.
