I’m always bad at writing these, but here goes… hi, I’m Kason.

I grew up moving around a lot and have lived in different parts of the U.S., which made me pretty adaptable and naturally outgoing. I genuinely love meeting new people and hearing how they see the world. I’m the kind of person who can usually find something in common with just about anyone.

Even though I’ve always loved the idea of travel, I haven’t had as many chances to do it as I would’ve liked so this year, I’m finally changing that. My goal isn’t just to see places, but to actually experience them through the people who live there.

I’d love to meet up even just for coffee, a walk, a meal, or good conversation. I’m hoping to make real connections and friendships wherever I go. So I can have friends all over the world. I want to keep in contact if we vibe:)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m on Couchsurfing because I want to meet new people, see the world, and experience life without feeling like I have to wait for the “right time.” I care more about real moments, good conversations, and shared experiences than just checking places off a list. For me, the best part of travel is the people you meet along the way and the stories that stay with you after.

Interests

I’m interested in meeting new people, hearing different perspectives, and seeing how people actually live in different places. I love good conversation, travel, politics, movies, music, trying new food, and being outdoors. I love skiing, cycling, hiking, and trying new things. I’m always up for an adventure or just doing something different. I also enjoy spontaneous plans and making the most out of experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books

I’m really into A24 films right now, but my favorite movies are always changing and I’m always up for something new.

I haven’t been reading as much as I’d like lately because I’ve been studying for the LSAT, but I love classic books and anything that makes me think.

Music-wise, I’m all over the place, but ABBA will always have a special place in my heart.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: how to ski.

Learn: how people in other places actually see the world — especially outside a U.S.-centered perspective. I studied political science, so I genuinely love hearing how people think about what’s going on in their country and daily life. I’d also love to learn how to cook new dishes and pick up different cuisines along the way.

Share: good conversation, travel stories, laughs, music, and hopefully a meal or two.
