Overview
About Me
Geert Mak, a famous non-fiction writer from The Netherlands once called me and my friends 'spies of the King, of King Democracy.' And there is some truth to that, as I am a journalist traveling Europe and the rest of the world in a quest to better understand humanity and different societies. I love reading and writing, long hikes, revealing conversations and swimming.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to discover cities where I know nobody yet, to get in touch with new cultures from all over Europe and the world. I want to enjoy being young and I believe couch surfing is a more personal experience than booking a room in a hostel or hotel.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once got arrested in a totalitarian regime for breaching the 10 pm curfew. It is not something I wish to ever repeat.
