About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Staying positive and seeing the beauty
ABOUT ME
I try and live as much as possible, savouring moments, let the sun cheer me up, notice beauty, remember people's good deeds and smiles. I do yoga and meditate as much as possible (even if it doesn't look like it "should"); I run my own business teaching dance and creativity to young kids and am expanding into somatic multi-arts work in community settings; I am an growing urban farmer and homesteader, who gardens, preserves, and works at low impact living solutions; I try and grow as a human and work at healing myself; I sing; I dance; I commute by bike or by foot; I cook yummy food; I write poetry; I sit outside and stare at trees and plants and flowers and re-energize.
A good cup of tea makes the world a better place.
Nothing beats the sound of rain, thinking and clarifying those thoughts into the most precise words possible, walking to beautiful music (or the beautiful music of the outside), and reading.... And sun. Tea and sun. *nods
PHILOSOPHY
Be honest and passionate in your interests.
Love and live fully (the ups will always outweigh the downs).
Listen to your body (it is the smartest thing I know).
Figure out how to make your passionate interests part of your every day life (don't let money take over–it's not everything).
Eat slowly and savour your food.
Don't rush.
Live in the moment as often as possible.
Enjoy time alone as well as with others.
Sleep well.
Believe in yourself.
Enjoy quiet as much as sound and music.
Sing. Dance. Even if you think you can't.
Find out who you are when all your possessions have been taken away.
Connect with people. It's who you are

Recipes, talking about food, song-trading, and sustainable living/low-impact living ideas are always welcome
