I'm Kasra, I'm somewhere between introvert and extrovert (but more introvert I think 😁). I like traveling, meeting new people, and exchanging culture.

I've been living in Bonn 🇩🇪 for the last 4 years. It's a small city, but you have everything you need. And it's a beautiful city. I finished my studies here.

Speaking of career, I work as a Software Engineer 🧑🏻‍💻. At the moment, I'm developing a mobile application for a German bank.

In my free time, I play piano 🎹 and guitar 🎸. I'm really into music. I like learning new languages, at the moment I'm learning Italian. I sometimes play video games on my dear PS5. 🎮 And, of course, hanging out with friends and traveling.

At the moment I unfortunately cannot host someone as I am in a moving house situation.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'd like to meet new people, find new friends, and exchange culture and ideas. I think we both can learn new things from each other. 📚 Also when I'm traveling alone, I'd to meet new people in the destination and go out together. And if I can sleep on your couch, I'd be happy 😁.

Music, Movies, and Books

🎼 I listen to a lot of stuff. From classic when I play Piano, like "una mattina" from "Ludovico Einaudi" to Flamenco 🇪🇸 when I play guitar, like "Rumba" from "Paco Pena". If I want to go to a concert, then definitely rock bands (see, I cannot shut up about music), like Maneskin (songs like "Zitti e buoni", "Torna a casa", "Honey"). I recently listened to a lot of Italian songs like "Max Gazzè", "Ligabue" and "Carmen Consoli".

🎬 I watch more sitcoms (I think this is what we call them), like "Friends", "How I met ...". and "The Office" I also like series, e.g. "Breaking Bad 💊" and "The walking dead 💀". I want to watch this "Oppenheimer", but still have not managed to. I like Disney a lot. I think I watched "Inside-Out" four times so far.

📚 I read short versions of "Charles Dickens" books like "Oliver Twist", "A Christmas Carol", and "David Copperfield". Like reading books is one part of my life I need to work on a lot more 😄, I haven't read an original one from end to end.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

That's a difficult question. I think emigrating to Germany alone, missing family and friends, overcoming all the difficulties and hardships, surviving in a new country, learning a difficult language (you know which one I mean 😄) successfully finishing my studies, finding a job, and financing myself all alone, men I think this is big enough.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you are interested in learning a new language and culture, maybe programming (who knows), I can teach you. Also if you're learning a new musical instrument, sure. I can also show you how we make our traditional food. 🍗

I'd like to learn about the culture, lifestyle, and "how living in your country looks like". I'm pretty sure there are many areas in my life that need improvement, so I can learn a lot from you.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'll help you in the kitchen, cooking, housework, and cleaning. We can go out together and visit the city, explore different places, have deep chats, and go to restaurants, parks, and bars. We can have a language exchange. We can go for a hike, and be in nature. I also like movie nights. 🎥
