ABOUT ME

Back in Amman!

About me:
I'm a Circassian born in Jordan and raised in the US (20 years) and Europe (about 4 years). I've traveled for much of my life (as did both of my parents before me - I'm kind of a cultural mutt), and have been back in Jordan for a good number of years now. My Arabic's not 100%, but unless you're a fluent speaker you'd likely not know that. You might not even if you are a fluent speaker.

I write, do voice-overs, and I used to DJ, but the bulk of my work over the past few years has been in film (as an assistant director, but I have begun to transcend that role, writing, directing and producing my own films).

I apologize from now if I am unable to respond. I am often away on shoots and very frequently don't have a chance to properly get online. Or else I disappear for months at a time. I like to decide a day before I travel and just go, so I'm often not even able to post it on here that I'm wherever. But I'll respond whenever I can.

PHILOSOPHY

It evolves. But it tends to involve 3-dimensional understandings of things, experiences, travels, and breathing. I'm actually quite opinionated, but I won't impose my opinions on you unless you want to go there (like over a bevy).

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've only hosted up to this point (and have had a fantastic time doing so). But I do look forward to surfing soon enough.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted a few people (both in Amman and Aqaba) and have met some great people in the process. I haven't had a bad experience yet, and I hope that none of the people who've stayed with me have either.

Re my low response rate, I flirted with the site way back when I first became a member, and then didn't come back to it for years. Recently, though, I've been able to get much more involved, so hopefully that won't deter you.

Lots of things. I like jumping off of things. Mostly into water. Most recently, rain in the desert, skydiving, scuba diving, and just meeting interesting people.
