Overview
About Me
Well, Ill start out by saying that I am originally from the beautiful little state of Vermont, and graduated from the University of Vermont in 2015 with a degree in Environmental Studies. All through college I was itching to get out of VT and so as soon as I graduated I moved first to Colorado and then to Oregon to teach elementary students in school gardens. My job is connecting them to food, place, and healthy eating- so basically I just share my enthusiasm for the outdoors and for amazing vegetables with them!! I caught the travel bug while studying abroad in Samoa, and have had more confidence to travel and explore new places alone since then. Being outside always makes me feel happy and so I try to do that as much as I can.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because couchsuring is awesome!!!!! Seriously. I love the idea of people from different corners of the world or country getting to connect. And I don't think you should have to have a large bank account to be able to travel, everyone should have that opportunity. I love to meet new people, and I think there is a lot of value in hearing different perspectives. Most of the positive change in my life has come from traveling, and I want to continue to open my mind to new ideas. I also enjoy to be around good company and show people around the amazing state of Oregon!
Interests
I really love cooking, especially with and for other people, and spend a lot of my time just choppin vegetables and eatin em up. I love to cook and share a meal with other people. I also like to be active and get outside, in the summer I like to go hiking whenever I can, and in the winter I snowboard at Mt.Hood and Bachelor. I also love to go and see live music, and I love to dance! Funk, jam, bluegrass, hip hop, electronic, etc. whooo I love it all as long as I can boogie!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
This past summer I learned how to slaughter a chicken while WWOOFing! I think it's important to be connected to your food and know where it comes from. (Even though I typically eat a mostly vegetarian diet).
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love to cook! I also am usually up for an adventure if you want to do fun things together. I also am good at being independent and can do my own thing!
