About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.” ― Oscar Wilde
ABOUT ME
I'm an Australian film and theatre student living in France and exploring the world.
I enjoy travelling, meeting new people, eating new foods, opening my mind and learning as much as I can!!
I'm a lover and connoisseur of words, whether spoken or written down. I love words in a play, in a book, in a film, in a conversation... I'm currently learning French, and can't wait to learn more languages and open myself up to more ways of expressing myself!
I endeavor to be a traveler, not a tourist.
PHILOSOPHY
I'm a Christian, and believe in the saving love of Jesus Christ- but I also believe that people who label themselves the same as me have at times done more damage than good in this world.
I believe in the open and trusting nature of love. I believe in 2nd, 3rd, 4th, continual chances. I believe no-one is perfect but everyone is worth opening yourself up to.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm currently traveling lots, and don't have a house of my own in which to host, so I'm only a surfer at the time being. But I'm excited about next year returning to Australia and being able to begin hosting, introducing people to the Australian lifestyle and learning about other cultures right on my own doorstep!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've had one great couch surfing experience so far, in Amsterdam, and can't wait to have more!! Having the home of such lovely girls opened up to me made me fall immediately in love with the idea of couch surfing.
Interests
Living life!!
I love experiencing stories, whether in a book or a film, or shared with a new friend.
I love food- cooking and baking for myself and others, and definitely eating!!
I love dancing, but am realistically aware of how terrible I am at it!!
Of course, I love traveling as well!

Music, Movies, and Books
There are so many films I love, it's so hard to write a list, but to name a few: Harold and Maude, Breaking the Waves, Le Dîner de cons, Burn After Reading, Trotsky, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Across the Universe, Double Indemnity. Of course the great directors, Hitchcock, Kubrick, Tarentino... I'm also fascinated by Lars Von Trier and Dogma 95.
Books: I love the classics, give me an Austen or a Bronte or a Dickens and I'm happy for hours. I have a big soft spot for all my childhood favorites, such as C S Lewis (i love his non-fiction work as well) Enid Blighton, Emily Rodda. Recently I've enjoyed things such as The Elegance of the Hedgehog by Muriel Barbery, A Quiet American by Graham Greene, and The Dancer Upstairs by Nicholas Shakespeare.
I love watching and reading plays- some favourites are Oscar Wilde, Tennessee Williams, Arthur Miller, J M Barie, Marlowe and Shakespeare.
