Overview
About Me
I am married to an adventurous man who I live with on a sail boat near Annapolis. This allows us to travel by water when we have that much time, because sailboats move slow, and you go when the wind is in your favor.. We also have a cabin in West Virginia, which allows us to be with nature and enjoy the hiking in the mountains which we really enjoy as well. I drive a school bus which allows me the free time to hit the road and see the sights. I am planning a cross country road trip with my daughter in August, and plan to see as many national parks as possible and fit in some museums along the way. I hope to meet some new friends and also build a bond with my daughter, who I think will really learn from this experience. I am hoping to cut the lines and sail to the Caribbean in the next 5 years, and hike the Appalachian trail before my body quits on me.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm headed on the cross country road trip with my daughter, and I'm hoping to meet new friends to show us around, and hopefully get a shower and even a place to stay. We're going to live out of the car for a month, so a couch would be a nice break :)

Music, Movies, and Books
I love music with great rhythm. From techno to jazz, it is all pretty great. I don't care for the rap though, it seems so angry and I want to stay happy:) Love all movies except scary ones. Failure to Launch, Breakfast Club, Stand By Me, Raiders of the Lost Arch, and Goonies are among my favorites. Not a big book reader, but James Patterson seems to be my favorite. Action, thrillers seems to be what interests me.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My husband and I circumnavigated the Delmarva in 10 days. It all went well, even while being in the ocean for 36 hours, but the last 8 hours where absolutely terrifying. A storm blew in, which created 8-10 foot waves, in the Chesapeake bay, plus it was dark, so we couldn't see anything. After the experience, it has made me a stronger person, and I can say I did it.
