Currently living in the boonies in Northern California with a city name that translates to "beautiful view". I have a wonderful husband and two gorgeous daughters. I love animals and don't want to live without them (have 4 cats and 1 wiener dog). Me, my husband and two daughters all have names that start with the letter 'K' including our dog Kowboy.

Originally from Southern California I grew up right near Disneyland. My parents separated when I was very young and I came from a pretty dysfunctional family. I was adopted along with my other 3 adopted siblings. I hated that I was adopted! Three years ago I finally discovered my family. Can you imagine what it must be like to presume you were an only child to discover you had 3 older brothers and sisters, half brothers and other blood related family members? Boy was I amazed! I have met my older bio sister and talk with my two older brothers. My bio mother passed away 8 month's before I discovered her. Bio father....apparently not too worthy to bother mentioning.

I was a gymnast when I was little, and could swim like a fish. I'm a mother. I'm a veteran but never served in any wars. I'm very handy and work to repair my own cars. I learned to ride a motorcycle when I was 40. I don't have too many limitations...I believe in going big...just do it...just ask...just try.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I will probably update this later but for now I just wanted to get something in here so people could read SOMETHING.

My husband told me about couchsurfing. Every four to six weeks I take my daughter to her orthodontic appointments in San Francisco. She has a rare condition called Hypodontia/Oligodontia. Our drive from our town to UCSF takes us at minimum 4.5 hours. It is a long haul as well as costly. My daughter and I are simply looking for a place to rest our heads and meet some awesome cool individuals willing to take us in for a night along the way.

I was surprised that my husband suggested couchsurfing...you know...cause he's my husband and because there are a bunch of weirdo's to be aware of. The more I look at couchsurfing the more I get excited and can't wait for my first experience surfing or hosting. There are a lot of good people in the world...I think many can be found here.

Interests

My family and taking care of them. Would love to travel abroad someday. Skydiving is on my bucket list. Camping, hiking, body surfing...Nature, wildlife, watching. Finding monarch caterpillars, raising and nurturing them into butterflies then letting them go. Finding obsidian and artifacts. Discovering new music and sharing with friends.
