ABOUT ME

I'm a fun and friendly girl who loves traveling- the more unusual the place the better! I´m happiest when I´m in the outdoors, eating/cooking great food, or with a (new or old) friend who makes me laugh!

I love meeting new people, but I also have no problem entertaining myself and I rarely get lonely.

I love the piano and have played for a long time. I like to try to play the guitar as well. Please don´t ask me to sing though- it´s horrible! I´ve also tried my hand at painting and enjoy it because of the colours it´s possible to create.

PHILOSOPHY

In a well-lived life we´ll never stop learning from those around us and always seek out challenging new experiences. Our lives and our world will be what we create them to be.

Interests

I love hiking and I´m interested in getting better at whitewater kayaking. I love hearing live music, especially open air concerts (any type of music!).

I´m interested in seeing the world and finding out what circumstances shape people in living the lives that they do.

I´m interested in why people commit crime and in finding a better, rehabilitative alternative to the prison system.

I´m interested in learning to grow my own food and in learning to cook 'exotic' meals like tasty Asian-style dishes with billions of spices!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seeing the sunrise for the first time after 30 days of 24 hours darkness in the Arctic. Beautiful.

Teach, Learn, Share

Okay, so I can teach you about the easiest way to sneak into Canada or the USA: The easiest US-CAN border crossing is between Alaska and north British Colombia in the middle of the Chilkoot trail where there is just a plaque announcing the border- not a customs officer in sight!

I would like to share this quote with you because I think it applies to alot more than just jazz (or the other things mentioned in it): "In jazz, every moment is a crisis and you bring all your skill to bear on that crisis. I would love to be taught how to sail. I would also love to gain the knowledge to be able to build my own house someday!
