About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Having a good time while doing something meaningful.

ABOUT ME

I am a nerdy, friendly, wannabe city-girl currently getting my PhD in Theater in Madison, WI. I try to always treat people and their spaces as I would want to be treated.

PHILOSOPHY

Engage with the world and the people in it and try to make it a good place.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have surfed along the Pacific Northwest, and my roommate and I would love to host people in Madison. Come visit us :-)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Highlights:
1) A friend and I camped out in someone's backyard in Vancouver because his house was too full. We met a fabulous Australian couple and generally had a great time!
2) There isn't a 2 yet. I clearly need more experiences.

Interests

I love to read, travel, dance, cook, hike, climb, explore urban environments, get to know new people, enjoy the people I already know. There's honestly not much that I wouldn't be up for.

  • theater
  • dancing
  • cooking
  • traveling
  • hiking
  • boxing
  • rock climbing
  • mountains

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a soft spot for young adult, feminist, fantasy books, but honestly I will read almost anything. I am not a person who is good at talking music, but I tend to enjoy chill, acoustic shows (I have a grandfather who is a folk musician).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Wow. So many. Well, climbing the hills over the Pest side of Budapest at 3 in the morning to watch the sun rise over Buda (do I have them backwards?) was definitely one of the highlights of my time living in Paris. The city sparkled beneath us (though I may have just been delirious because it was so early in the morning). Another great one was going to the Hanuman Temple outside Jaipur, India. It's full of monkeys. Monkeys EVERYWHERE. And they are awesome. And terrifying. You'll have to get to know me to hear how I escaped with my life :-)

Teach, Learn, Share

I feel like I am always learning, so this box is difficult to fill out. Perhaps I could teach something about theater or about the Hindi language?

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Spain, United Kingdom
