ABOUT ME

I'm very easy-going, friendly and oh so easily amused. I love randomness, learning new things and unexpected in-depth conversations. The more I know, the more I realize I don't know (quote thanks to my father). I like being wherever I feel a connection; whether that be with people, a place, or a feeling. Through my profession I've learned to trust my instincts; mostly about people, and I tend to trust those over logic or reason.
I love anyone that can make me laugh.

PHILOSOPHY

I think if a decision is hard to make, all you have to do is think about what the kind of person you want to be would do, and then it's easy. Karma. The Golden Rule. Share your toys with the other kids.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

If I had known about CS earlier, I would have been hosting a while ago, but now I currently have no couch to offer. I fully intend to do so in the future. Very soon I am temporarily relocating to San Francisco and may need a place to stay for a few nights. I would love to travel more in the future and am excited to have found another way to do it.
In the meantime I'm excited to use this as a tool to just meet and hang out with new people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I think its really interesting that since I've started getting into this, I find people tend to either really embrace the concept, or completely reject is on the grounds that it must be unsafe. Everyone has to look out for themselves, but right or wrong, I've learned I expect the good in people rather than the bad and I'm glad. So far, I haven't really been disappointed. I love having new and awesome people come in into my life. I think couch surfing makes the quote "meeting new people is the cheapest form of travel" about as literal as it gets.

Interests

Whatever keeps me entertained (which is not hard to do). I love food and cooking (I come from a food loving family). I love good beer and enjoy sharing tasty adult beverages with cool people. Music saves me daily. I am fully capable of watching movies or tv for hours. I'd love to hike more in beautiful places. I think nutrition is so awesomely fascinating that I'm going to go get another degree, this time in dietetics, next fall. I think the body and how it works is absolutely amazing and I love learning more about it.
However, if all else failed, I could exist soley on random experiences with awesome people.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love movies because they make me feel, but I anxiety-bite when I'm scared so I tend to avoid the horror genre. I love many kinds of music but am most partial to the singer/songwriter variety. Books (when I like them) are either hand-held gifts of knowledge or the greatest escape ever. I love the made up fun of fiction and geek out over massage/bodywork texts.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hate how it's hard to wrap your brain around how amazing something truely is as it's happening, even if you know it's probably pretty significant as it's going on.
The only thing that seems to be consistent is that you can't usually plan those situations; you just find yourself in them.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm full of random trivia and love to learn new facts. I am happy to share any massage/body knowledge I possess and if I'm in the right mood I might even demonstrate. I know a few things about food and would love to share and also steal any awesome recipes. Oh! And I love love love sharing music. I come bearing recordable cds.
