Overview
About Me
We’re Katarína and Filip.
Katarína does sleep research – specifically focusing on chronotypes and non-pharmacological ways to improve sleep. Filip studies law, previously also studied psychology, and enjoys talking about pretty much anything from philosophy to random everyday stuff.
We’re into art, sometimes we paint, and we collect books and flowers from the places we visit. We also love trying new food – Katarína once agreed to try harring, even though she had a pretty good idea how it would turn out.
What we enjoy most about traveling are the things you can’t plan – strange museums, late-night conversations, weird sculptures in parks, or markets where we have no idea what we’re actually buying.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My friend Martin “forced me into it” – he travelled the world using Couchsurfing and kept telling me I had to try it. So I did. And he was right.
Since then, I’ve been travelling and hosting together with Filip. We use Couchsurfing because we want to get to know places through people – not through travel guides. We enjoy conversations, everyday life in different countries, and discovering things we wouldn’t find as regular tourists.
And yes, Iwe are into food – and the best meals usually come from local tips.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Katarína: I survived my PhD (and I'm not completely gray) and I survived traveling with Martin Vidlička (check his account, it's a miracle that I survived more than 1 vacation :D ).
