About Me
(I don't have too many references because I just joined couch surfing. I promise I am not a crazy person!)
I recently moved to Berlin to work in a behavioral neuroscience lab and am currently working on my gender studies/sociology thesis. In Berlin I study 'Play'! My lab recently published a paper teaching rats to play Hide and Seek (https://edition.cnn.com/videos/world/2019/09/13/rats-hide-and-seek-games-study-kk-lon-orig.cnn) and we also study tickling rats!!
I'm sure this is very cliché, but I do really love exploring new cities and places; my favorite thing to do while I'm traveling is just wander around in a random neighborhood for a day.
Two truths and a lie:
1) I play the harp
2) I've made my own moonshine
3) One time I used Tinder to find someone to take out my stitches because I didn't want to pay for the doctor (US healthcare is weird)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
One of the most interesting parts of travel is getting to meet new people and experience new cultures, but that can be really hard staying at a hotel or camping. I love meeting new people, having interesting conversations and new experiences!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was in Angkor Wat, I accidentally wore a tank top, and the guards wouldn't let me into one of the temples. I didn't want to miss out on the view, so I waited for the security guard to pass by and I climbed up the side of the temple!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love salsa and bachata dancing and am happy to teach anyone! I also have a background in community biology education, so if anyone has a burning desire to learn more about genes or why the mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell, I'm there.
