About Me

CURRENT MISSION

enriching my life with new friends

ABOUT ME

I'm Kat.
I live rurally in Australia and loving every minute of it. I can talk at lengths about our backyard chooks, mushroom growing, natural dyieng and food and farming politics. Like everyone here, I absolutely love travelling and I feel really restless if I don't get away for a bit once every few months.

I enjoy meeting all sorts of people, preferably over some good beer and some sweet tunes.

What I find exciting more than anything is meeting people who are more knowledgeable than me (preferably about something really nerdy) and make them pass on a little bit of that knowledge!

PHILOSOPHY

As tacky as it sounds, we only live once so let's explore everything there is!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Sometimes I can host you and other times I'll only be able to meet up for a drink or go for a walk with you.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It's so much fun meeting people where they live and see things from their point of view. I also love to show people around!

Interests

I like reading, studying, listening to people's stories, travelling, learning as much as possible about as much as possible... :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I find something good in almost every genre of music, but right now I listen a lot to Bright Eyes, Ben Howard, Patti Smith, PJ Harvey, Sage Francis, Eddie Vedder, Cocorosie, Tom Waits, Placebo, Devendra Banhart etc.

I read a lot of books and my favourite is by no comparison 'Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?' by Philip K. Dick. I also really enjoy the poems of Allen Ginsberg :)
