I'm Kasia and I currently live in Wroclaw. I'm a civil engineer working here as a highway designer. I've recently decided to take a longer break from work and explore South America. I'll start my trip in mid-February from Colombia and see what happens later :) I love meeting new people during my travels and finding out some information that I would not read in a guidebook.
In my free time I like to do some outdoor activities, I like to try new sports/activities. Last October I tried surfing for the first time and it was sooo cool (even though I'm still a beginner, I'd like to try it again during my trip :)).
I'm more of an early bird, sometimes I prefer to get up very early to see the sunrise 🌞(but I love the sunsets too :))
I used to learn Spanish but it was a long time ago, now I'm trying to remind it and I hope to improve it during this trip as I love this language, so if you don't mind having a conversation with a beginner it would be great :)
I used to hitchhike a lot when I was a student, later due to lack of time I tried to combine it with public transport/flights, but hopefully I will do some hitchhiking during this trip (it's also a great opportunity to meet new people and practice the language :))
I really appreciate CS as well as hitchhiking for its ability to explore non-touristic places.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I started using CS during my first long-distance hitchhiking trip to Spain/Portugal. It's a great opportunity to meet people from different cultures, share our experience, talk about country and its customs and traditions with locals and have a possibility to look at it from different point of view
