About Me

CURRENT MISSION
to fully enjoy the human experience

ABOUT ME
I enjoy learning new things, all kinds of new things. I do gravitate to understanding how things were done/made in the old ways- crafts like quilting, rug making, Naal-binding, and the like.
I am open to discuss ideas, but do not necessarily enjoy polarized people. I may not change to your way of thinking, but want to understand it.
As a creative person, I love to look at beautiful places, things, people, etc.
I find that food is also a great medium of learning about a place or a people.
As a healer, I am exploring old ways as well. I study herbalism among other modalities.

PHILOSOPHY
I believe that each of us has a responsibility to ourselves to find balance in all things. I lead mostly by example. I continue to learn.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I couch surfed in the UK during a May 2012 trip, and it was perfect. I have hosted twice. Because I am out of the beaten path, I am not asked often. I would like to though. Currently, I have a queen size bed in an actual guest room.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Traveling in the UK in May of 2012. We stayed with 6 different hosts, and learned both the beauty and diversity of the British. would not trade the experience for anything.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music- Mozart to Madonna, but not so much M&M.
Movies- almost anything, but Pricess Bride is a perennial favorite.
Books- lately have had to do with herbs, and energy healing mostly, but I like a lot of different sorts of stories as long as the author is engaging.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

besides saving a few lives, I have been in a hot air balloon, I had a boa constrictor around my neck, I have climbed mountains, finished quilts, made babies smile, see full moons and sunsets that nearly made me weep, and made holiday meals with everything done and hot on the table at once (they said it was amazing...). It of course depends on what one finds amazing.
My 2 boys are amazing most of the time btw.
April 2015 I did pet 7 tigers.... in Thailand. yeah, it was pretty nifty.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a lot about nutrition, quilting, some about herbs, and about some metaphysical stuff- I continue to learn these things, and will readily discuss them.
I have a large labyrinth in my front yard that I love to share.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have a lot of random knowledge and a passion for complementary medicine. I am also willing to help with what ever is going on while I am there- almost anything.

Countries I’ve Visited
