Overview
About Me
Hi! I'm director of analytics & reporting for an insurance company. I bought my own home in 2019, and I have a perfectly good guest bedroom just sitting there empty. Someone may as well use it. :)
Things to know about staying with me:
1) My dog will expect you to play ball with her.
2) This is a queer-friendly home. Homophobia, transphobia, and other forms of hate and discrimination are not welcome.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've always easily opened up my home to friends, whether it be back during my previous round of homeownership when a spare bedroom, or during the years when I had only a one-bedroom apartment with a fold-out couch.
From my own side, I've often found myself facing the 5-hour drive back home and having to decide between doing battle with highway wildlife in the blackness of 1 a.m. and hitting the road in the early hours of the morning, hoping that caffeine will work its magic. Neither option is appealing, and every time I've wished I had a friend to stay with halfway out ... and so I joined Couchsurfing. Even if I never solve my own westward travel dilemma, perhaps I can do so for a fellow traveler.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Who am I to judge what counts as amazing? Here are a few memories about which I still get excited, and you can make up your own mind:
* I spent a spring break building houses for immigrants in Texas.
* I partied it up at Mardi Gras in New Orleans.
* I went to space camp and got to explore the International Space Station simulators.
* I announced the bands on stage in front of thousands of people at a blues festival.
* I was on the local TV news to promote safe prescription drug disposal.
* I led the host committee for my pharmacy fraternity's biennial week-long national meeting, which literally changed my life.
* I joined Couchsurfing!
