I come from a background in Fashion Design. Retired Dj having toured nationally and through Asia. Finally found my true passion in Life as a Visual Artist, Designer and all round kooky Creative.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've lived in 4 states and two countries. I got exhausted with Dj life.............happy as an Artist. Have fallen in love with the Gold Coast so I got rid of all my material posessions in Melbourne, flew back to my home state WA to say a few goodbyes and make some Art. Now I'm slowly travelling back across Australia with all my worldly goods in one suitcase to make the East Coast home. These days I just want an easy going life of sun, sand, the ocean and creativity.

Interests

All aspects of creative expression although primarily visual art.
Craft and D.I.Y..............anything I can make or create with my hands
The Ocean!!!!!
Hunting vintage stores, visiting independent gallery and studio spaces, meeting other creatives.
Getting inspired and hopefully inspiring others along the way

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The final year of Good Vibrations Festival Melbourne leg, Djing 6 til 8pm then jumping on the main stage with Armand Van Helden. Whisked off to Dj an afterparty Naughty by Nature were hosting and then turning up to the artist after party where I swapped hair extension horror stories with the ladies from Salt n Pepper, did shots with Busta Rhymes and then ended up deliriously tired eating Hungry Jacks with Plan B.................................. that's the superficial "amazing"

......... the real amazing was having my first solo Art exhibition in Collingwood Melbourne after having been drawing and painting for less then 2 years

Geographically..............trekking through the volcano region of the Big Island in Hawaii

Teach, Learn, Share

I don't think you ever really know what you can teach someone or what they can teach you until you are in the moment...............but whatever I can give artistically, intellectually, spiritually etc I am happy to pass on.

This trip so far, I've learnt so much about the importance of honesty, integrity, and respect for myself, my body and those around me. I've also learnt that life is too short not to just jump in the deep end and take a chance. You may sink but you may swim...............either way, I don't want to be 60yrs old wondering "what if"

What I Can Share with Hosts

Anything to do with Art obviously. I like to think I'm a good cook and i'm not afraid to get my hands dirty and help out with cleaning, household duties, gardening etc.
