Just graduated from university with a bachelor’s in Radio/Television/Film and I’m traveling a bit and seeing some of the world before digging in and getting a job. Currently on what I’m calling my “half gap year.” Originally from Texas (yee-haw) and went to school in Chicago. I’m passionate about writing, picnics, cool breezes on hot days, folk music, reinterpreting art and history, finding long lost items, interesting birds, and mythology/folklore.

I decided to travel alone to meet new people and open myself up to new connections. I also believe there’s no better way to experience a new culture than through the eyes and experiences of the locals.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing recent thing I’ve done is teach creative writing to kids from schools across Chicago. There are no boundaries or limits on a kid’s imagination and there’s nothing like it.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I’m an excellent dishwasher. I lived in an apartment without a dishwasher for two years so I am a pro at getting those plates and silverware spotless by hand.
