I grew up along the beautiful Pembrokeshire coast in Wales, UK. Grew up in the country side and has fuelled my love for the outdoors. Last year I graduated witha degree in Biology and I am continuing this interest as a hobby whilst travelling. Since then I have lived in Bristol working for an energy company for a few months. During summer I work as a food trader for festivals. I love working for festivals as I always meet and interact with people who love to talk and share their experiences. This is also combined with my love for food and music.

I'd say i'm a very chilled out person, easy going and take a lot of interest in what others have to say. I'm always up for trying new things, love going out and love to dance all night.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am travelling out to California in October as a solo traveller. I have travelled before but not a lot on my own. I would love to use couch surfing to meet like minded individuals who can show me around their city or teach me new things.

I do not currently have a major plan for when I get to California, I would like to head north then potentially to central and south America. I hope that couch surfing will give me an idea about where I should go and connect me with people along the way. I'm just going to see where I end up!

Interests

I love music. I mainly love to listen to SKA, reggae and jump up music although I have very open ears and and love to hear new things and old, got a big love for 70s, 80s and believe it or not 90s music. My love for music means that I love to go out in the evenings and socialise with new people. I also love to cook and learn how to cook new things. I have a great love for street food.

Music, Movies, and Books

My music taste encompasses a very wide spectrum of sounds from house music, drum and bass, folk, garage, SKA, reggae, dancehall, jungle, disco and much more. Regrettably I don't play any instruments but love to be around people who do, lot of respect. I do love to read especially when I travel. I have a love for classic books but also love a good cultural read. I do not find it essential to my lifestyle to watch movies a lot but I do love to cwtch down to a lovely movie if it is interesting.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have learnt that to teach is the best thing that we can do for one another. Part of the motivation to go on this trip is to learn from others and couch surfing gives the opportunity to do so!
