About Me
Student, photographer, lover of music and art, dancer, runner, writer, reader, journalist, traveller, wanderer and explorer!
21-year old student of literature and linguistics in Glasgow, moving to the US of A for an exchange year abroad in UC Davis.
Amateur photographer of gigs, mountains, flowers, my flatmates and my food.
Easily influenced into new music. Currently listening to jazz, swing, blues, hard rock, metal, pop-punk, pop-rock, and Lady Gaga, who can never be categorised.
I dance highland, swing, blues, tap and badly in clubs, and I love it. Teach me to dance and I will love you forever! Tap is a particular dream that's becoming a reality.
I'm working on cracking my 5K and 10K times in running. Slow but steady!
I read voraciously and constantly. Give me literature recommendations and we can have chats for hours, I swear. Currently reading Chuck Palahniuk, Harper Lee, Margaret Atwood, Irvine Welsh and some Bronte. Anything distressing and disturbing is usually up my alley.
I work as a student journalist for a few publications and am always looking for more places to write and to make contacts :)
Most of all I love to explore. I hike, I travel, I walk, I explore, I find places that are off the beaten track and enjoy the crazy sights I find. Anyone with a passion for the world is a friend by me :3
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm about to head off into the big bad USA and have some very grand plans for backpacking across the entire country - so I need couchsurfing.com's help!
I hope when I come home to Glasgow I'll be able to offer up my couch for people in return :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Dangled my legs over the edge of the Basilica in Brussels and watched the world without it seeing me.
Travelled Ghana alone and met the most incredible people.
Danced blues till 5am.
Interviewed one of my favourite musicians ever.
Watched the weather roll in from the top of a mountain.
Started couchsurfing!
Was I meant to pick just one? :3
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share my passion for everything and apply it to whatever you love!
I can teach you to make perfect peanut butter cookies, pancakes and enchiladas.
I can help you to read things written in Scottish dialect - I know Trainspotting can be a struggle.
I can tell you all sorts of interesting words and facts about accents.
I can dance with you, but I'm a terrible teacher!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Passion! I love a wide variety of things and would be happy to cook, which I'm good at, go out dancing with, to plays, art galleries, or gigs, to talk over good food, to talk about literature and music for hours, and I also love to learn.
