I'm from New Zealand but now live in Uppsala, Sweden, doing a PhD in ecology.

I love the outdoors- hiking, rock climbing, kayaking, campfires etc. Since Uppsala is rather flat I'm currently exploring activities that don't require mountains. So far wind surfing and long distance ice skating on the lakes are my favorites! I'm very social and outgoing and love meeting new people. Although I'm relatively new to couch surfing officially I've been surfing and hosting for years unofficially with friends, friends of friends and people I've met that day.

I love to meet people from all over the place! Visiting a new place is always interesting, but ten times more so if you can also meet a new friend and get their impression of their home. And hosting people gives a burst of energy and interest into your every day life.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Sailed along the coast of Namibia with the explorer Mike Horn, in the middle of a horrendous storm. The storm wasn't particularly pleasant - although exciting! - but just before it started we watched dolphins swimming along side the boat at night, lit up by phosphorescence. It was magical!
