About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Go places and learn things.

ABOUT ME

I'd like to think I'm usually laughing, and I prefer to be outside most of the time. I feel like I can get along with pretty much anybody, and I can turn anything into an adventure.

PHILOSOPHY

live in the sunshine, swim in the sea.
drink the wild air.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My husband and I have had wonderful experiences surfing, and are working on making our home welcoming to other surfers.

Interests

I love to read, hike, and I've gotten my feet wet in climbing. I do a lot of knitting, and am learning to sew. There aren't many places in the world I wouldn't want to go. I studied Spanish in college, and taught high school for a year, but I've found a way to merge education and sustainable agriculture over the past three years. Growing things really fascinates me, and I love to show others that anyone is capable of growing their own food.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm always awestruck when I open the door to a tent in the mornings, no matter where I am. I was pretty proud when I finished my first year of teaching, although I didn't go back. I'm amazed when I can watch a seed grow into a fruit or flower, and that's what I'd like to do for the rest of my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you to knit, sew, or cook a good meal.
