Just moved back to the States. Currently road tripping the West Coast to figure out someplace to call home.

ABOUT ME

Curious, chill, nature lover, and an outgoing introvert. Since finishing university, I've been a cook, an English teacher in South Korea, an NGO volunteer and high school science teacher in Cambodia, and a WWOOFer in New Zealand. Recently returned from round 2 of teaching ESL in Korea.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far I've only hosted friend's couch surfers but we're looking to surf and meet up while on our road trip.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The first time I lived in Jeju Island, South Korea, my friend Tim would call me up whenever he had couchsurfing requests and we'd have big sleepovers at mine as I had the space and he is just whimsical enough to pull it off. Nothing like roof hangouts, river explorations, and peanut butter pancakes with a group of strangers and friends.

Interests

*Trail running: the kind where you have to hop fences and crawl under barbed wire and explain in Korean to the gardeners that you thought this was the trail?
*Swimming: give me a waterfall, ocean, or riverbed any day and every day.
*Singing, I've been singing my whole life, beautiful songs my shower head and dashboard have appreciated immensely, and have started to perform at small venues these last few years.
*Meditation: Just getting into the whole meditation thing, turns out it's quite useful.

I am a massive music and book lover. My taste in films is more eclectic, from Drive to She's the Man, from Moonlight to The Lucky One, with pretty much nothing in between.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Finding a secret swimming spot on the island I lived in South Korea was probably the best thing, along with getting to share that with the people most important to me. I failed to find any bad day that could not be undone by that magical little swimming hole.

Teach, Learn, Share

Myself and my partner Matt can cook up a mean dinner in most style and with just about any dietary restrictions. We love to have great conversations over a beer or tea and are down to go with the flow. Up for an adventure and being a goofball.
