ABOUT ME

We are a couple, completing the Australian "Youth" Ambassador for development program in Samoa. Russell works in public health at the Independent Water Scheme, and I am working at the Department for Women doing social research / gender equality work. We've grown up and traveled all around the world together. We are from Australia, we have recently moved to Apia Samoa (in March 2013) from Leeds, West Yorkshire, England.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We have been hosting travelers in the sweet 'small-town' capital city of Australia...Canberra. We are now living in Apia, Samoa. Although there are heaps of charming beach fales around the island, there are not many budget / relaxed options in the main township of Apia, so we thought hosting here would be nice chance to meet people and help them ease into island life before they set of on their Samoan adventure!

As far as our learning goes, Its just nice getting to know a town with the help of someone who enjoys living there. Also just enjoy meeting people and sharing stories.
