Hello! My name is Kate. I enjoying meeting new people from all around the world! In my opinion, meeting people and having conversations is the best part of traveling. I am from Berkeley, California where I also raised children, two girls ages 19 and 22. Now they are off living their lives, and I'm off living mine! I have many interests: writing, drawing, painting, nature drawing. I love to visit museums and cafes and walk, and walk and walk in new cities. I work as a speech-language pathologist at an urban high school. I feel most happy when doing something artistic and exploring.

Interests

I feel happiest when I am immersed in a writing project and when I draw or paint a bit every day. In recent years, I've enjoyed meeting with others for nature journaling or drawing in the community. I love to dance! I am getting better at salsa dancing and have done cajun zydeco dancing for some time. I love walking and exploring as well. I'm also, bit by bit, learning Spanish. I'm advance beginner. Last year I studied in Mexico for a month and I did quite well.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This summer I'm coming to London to do a solo walking trip from inn to inn. I'm currently training for it, as it will be about 7-10 miles over a week. I plan on eating a lot of cake!
